Accreditation: The Single Source of Truth for Event Security
Who is on-site right now? If your access records are spread across spreadsheets, emails, and outdated lists, getting a clear answer won't be easy. At any major event, thousands of people, staff, contractors, media, and VIPs need controlled access to restricted areas. Without a centralised system, keeping track of who should be where quickly becomes a challenge.
A single source of truth for accreditation ensures:
Every individual is accounted for no conflicting or outdated information.
Security teams can make decisions with confidence, knowing access rights are accurate.
Last-minute changes can be handled smoothly, without confusion or delay. When accreditation records are scattered, mistakes happen. When everything is managed in one place, you have the full picture and control over who has access, when, and why.
How are you managing access at your events? Read more about the importance of accreditation here or book acall to discuss how we can support you.

NBA All-Star
Accredit Solutions is excited to be part of the 2025 NBA All-Star Weekend, ensuring a smooth and secure accreditation process for this high-profile event. With some of the biggest names in basketball taking the court and a star-studded crowd in attendance, security and access control are crucial. A special shoutout to our clients, the Denver Nuggets’ Nikola Jokić and the Boston Celtics’ Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, who will be showcasing their talent on the All-Star stage. Just as these athletes bring precision and excellence to the game, Accredit Solutions delivers the same standard in managing secure access for major sporting events worldwide.*
Philadelphia Eagles
Congratulations to the Philadelphia Eagles on their incredible win at the Super Bowl! managing accreditation for a top-tier team like the Eagles takes more than just performance on the field it requires a well-organised accreditation system to manage accreditation efficiently. As teams prepare for 2025, having an organised accreditation process helps ensure the right people have the right access while reducing the time spent on admin. We’re proud to support the Eagles with their accreditation needs throughout the year.
Reese's Senior Bowl
The Reese’s Senior Bowl marks another key step in Accredit Solutions’ expansion into collegiate football, providing secure accreditation for athletes, staff, and event personnel. With Athletic Directors from multiple colleges in attendance, this event is an opportunity to support organisers in managing secure access while introducing the platform to new teams and events.
This follows our work with the Southeastern Conference (SEC), providing secure accreditation across all SEC Championship events, including the SEC Football Championship at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. With SEC and major bowl games like the Reese’s Senior Bowl now using our platform, collegiate football organisers are taking greater control over accreditation to enhance security and simplify event operations.
Ally Batte, Director of Financial Operations and Accreditation Lead for the Southeastern Conference, said: "Accredit Solutions’ proven track record with some of the world’s largest sporting events, and equally, their experience of delivering solutions at high-capacity stadiums, including all NFL games at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium where we host the SEC Football Championship, makes them an ideal solution. Their technology and expertise will help us and the schools in our conference maintain the highest standards of security and operational efficiency and allow us to control our own badge printing process.”
How We’re Supporting Basketball Event Security
Accreditation at basketball events comes with its own challenges, from managing last-minute access requests to ensuring the right people enter restricted areas. In our latest blog, we look at how leading organisations, including the National Basketball Association (NBA), Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA), Boston Celtics, Basketball Africa League, national Basketball League (NBL), Wheelchair Basketball Australia, and Basketball Australia, use Accredit Solutions to manage security, improve access oversight, and manage accreditation more efficiently.
Managing accreditation at high-security events and venues comes with challenges. Pass sharing, fraudulent credentials, and manual checks can create security risks and slow down operations. Ensuring the right people have the right access without delays remains a key concern for organisers. With Accredit Solutions and Wicket’s biometric authentication integration, accreditation goes beyond badges and barcodes. Accredited individuals can quickly confirm their identity at access points, reducing the risk of unauthorised access and manual errors while supporting security teams.
Today, with hundreds of thousands of accreditation holders enrolled and millions of access points managed, it is helping teams and event organisers improve security, speed up access, and simplify accreditation processes. For event and venue organisers, this means greater control over access, fewer security concerns, and a more efficient accreditation process. Whether managing a large sporting event, a venue with multiple entry points, or a high-security facility, biometric authentication adds an extra layer of protection while keeping operations running smoothly.
Are You Using Your Accreditation System to Its Full Potential? Many organisations believe that an accreditation system is there to issue badges and manage access, but that’s only part of what a good accreditation system can do. Whether it’s managing multiple events, tracking assets, such as uniforms and equipment, collecting accessibility or catering requirement or improving security planning with useful data insights. If you’re only using your system for access control, you could be overlooking ways to improve efficiency across your organisation. Learn more on how you can get more from your system.
We’ll be at the FSOA Conference, where safety professionals will discuss the ongoing challenges of event security and access management. One of the biggest concerns; knowing exactly who is in restricted areas at any given time. Without a single source of truth, security teams are exposed to unnecessary risks; unauthorised access, operational inefficiencies, and gaps in security protocols. With accreditation central to managing access, we’re looking forward to sharing insights from our work with stadiums and venues worldwide.
From March 4-6, we’ll be at SBJ Tech Week in New York City, to talk about event security and accreditation. Tom, our President in the USA will be there, meeting with sports industry professionals to discuss the challenges of managing secure access at major events. Teams and event organisers all rely on Accredit Solutions to manage access, strengthen security, and keep accreditation processes efficient.
